Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao has assured that the government will examine the possibilities to set up an online university. Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Technologies professor Rajireddy requested the minister to establish an online university. Prof. Rajireddy explained the new concept, one campus which would have from KG to PG.
Mr Ganta has asked for a detailed report and assured that after discussing with the Chief Minister and in the Cabinet, a decision would be taken. V-C Rajireddy also requested Mr Ganta to induct a few faculties as permanent staff, to which minister positively responded. The construction of IIIT buildings in Doobagunta near Kanigiri was also discussed. Ganta Srinivas Rao has been invited to attend the convocation of the University on August 4 at Idupulapaya.
