  • There will be written examination of 120 questions carrying 120 marks .
  • The total duration of the exam is only 90 minutes
  • The question paper will be set in Hindi, English, Urdu, Punjabi, Gujarati, Assamese, Manipuri, Bengali, Oriya , Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Konkani, Marathi.
  • Candidate have to bring his/her call letter with him/her at the examination center .

  • The official advertisement is saying , ” The question paper will be of matriculation standard “.So it look like SSC’s MTS exam, You may use any bank clerk exam book to prepare for this exam . There is no need to know about the full syllabus just read the basic things in arithmetic, all the topics under reasoning chapter and a good G.K. and its enough

  • Document Varification:The candidates who qualify in the physical tests ( PET & PMT ) will be called for Viva-Voce Test and before the test; The original documents of the candidate will be examined . You have to produce all the original documents ( Age,Caste,educational qualification etc. ) on the same day .
  • The number of candidates limit will not exceed more than three times of current vacancies .
  • Viva-Voce Test:Now if your documents are found genuine and complete then you will be called for a test called ‘ Viva-Voce’ . It is the test to know about the awareness, alertness & intelligence level of the candidate . Basically, they will examine whether you are fit to serve in Railway Protection Force ( RPF ) .Maximum Marks in Viva-Voce – 5 marks
  • Bonus Marking:Bonus marks are given to some special candidates only; A maximum 5 bonus marks can be awarded to a candidate . See the rules and regulations about bonus marks :-

    NCC

    B Certificate of NCC – 01 mark

    C Certificate of NCC – 02 marks

    SPORTS

    Represented University at inter-university sports – 01 mark

    Represented State at inter-state sports – 02 marks

    Represented India at international sports meet – 03 marks.

    Medal winner at national level sports meet – 03 marks

    HEIGHT

    A male applicant whose height is 178 cms or more and a female

    After this test a final list of selected candidates will be prepared .

    Medical Examination

    Candidates who are selected finally, will be called for a detailed medical examination . The candidates shall be sent to a Railway Hospital and they have to pass through a detailed medical examination .

    If we say in terms of Indian Railway medical manual then it will be , ” You have to qualify in medical category ‘B-1’ ” .
